Yet another dwelliing from our 'Western' past

I love Google in many ways. This home was our retreat from rural life. For me it was the darker place in my life... as I began puberty here... and ended puberty in the home in Wichita from the post two below.. So I was becoming 'insane' in a biological way.
I would love to get the Admiral Road house but they do not have photos of that street...

The family across the street there was red Adair... but not THE Red Adair.. Just like one of my friends at this time was Neil Armstrong but not THE Neil Armstrong (but don't tell them that...)

I have often walked... this street before

Can anyone guess this former home!?

and this was our path to the swimming pool and we did a parade on this street for the 4th of July...

I personally shoveled three days of snow in the winter of 61 and made lots and lots of money.

Lucky us

The other day Erin was telling me how McKenna had gone to work with them, wearing her scrubs and sporting a shortened stethescope around her neck. She checked out the new kittens that they were fostering until homes were found. Then she went out into the waiting room and made a big hit out there. I know Mc Kenna loves going to work with them and I thought how lucky she was to be able to go to her parents' workplace, and how lucky they were to be able to share their work with her. Then it dawned on my that I had had much the same experience. I thought of all the years we spent running through (and working at) Ward Buick. I'm not sure I ever really appreciated that experience until I saw it in the context of McKenna. And I wonder what it meant to Pa-Pa to have us at his workplace.....undoubtedly charming all who entered!!!!

And in fact - this photo just in

One is the back burn fires from the weekend and the other is late yesterday. Hot spots, but seems to be dying down.
