yes the two photos below remind me of the prairie fires in Oklahoma we would see as kids off in the west. I remember that thin line of fire and smoke that was really miles away.
On the news, the bean counters/ratings/ market guys ask reporters now not to put exact times, exact places or sources in their stories as it makes the news 'stale.' Then they can manipulate the time of the story via the post time. it is a slippery slope business but it leads to inaccurate stories all the time.
