Picture Packages: An Editorial

I have been invited to view photos form a number of picture sites. Each one will ask me to register and either give them an e-mail or a phone number.

I guess my right of privacy or something rebels and I just will not take that plunge yet

I think I am giving them power by that in small cuts.. kind of like facebook.

I welcome any comments on this brief editorial.

Photos to follow

I am back from Scotland and had a terrific time. I sang, I danced, I spent money, and I hiked a lot. I will start putting some pictures up tomorrow or put them on one of those pic sharing sites and send you the link. I am still going through them to get rid of the fuzzy ones.

Later.

30th wedding aniversary

30 years. We were at a wedding on Catholic Hill in St. Francisville. What you don't see in the background is the flooded Mississippi River. Hope travels are going well and that fires in the Southwest are not lapping at your doors.

Traveling

I know that Diana and Brad are traveling with the LeRay family and on Friday I leave for Scotland, so if you don't hear from me for a couple of weeks, stay safe and be happy. I will try hard to take pictures :-).

Spring in the Rockies.. almost

My yard shows signs of spring. It has been windy and chilly.
I am letting the world come to me. Thich Nhat Hahn is coming to Estes Park for a week-long retreat in August and I think i am signing up for it.

Count down to trip and report on the Kerrville Folk Fest

Well, I am starting to get ready for the trip. Make sure my phone has international service (it does) and make sure all my ducks are in a row (no, they are not coming with me). Make sure I know how to use my camera (as if I will remember to take pictures) and make sure I know the words to all the Robert Burns songs (559 that I know of - maybe I will have to skip some of them). Kelly is our elder world traveler. Any advice?

I went to the Kerrville Folk Festival this past weekend and was really blown away by the talent there. I knew I was going to hear some good music, but I didn't realize that everyone would be as good as they are. It was amazing. If you get a chance to hear any of the following, go listen to them:

Grace Pettis, Megan Burtt (from Colorado), Roy Schneider, Steve Chizmadia, The YaYas, Seth Glier, Zoe Lewis, Jonathan Byrd, Slaid Cleaves, Susan Werner, Kenny White, Cheryl Wheeler, David Wilcox - and then they had someone you might have heard of - Judy Collins.
