Diana says be sure to get 'fatty' pork chops... lean pork chops do not work for that truly nostalgia flavor of Lonita Street.

I agree no thin porkchops. Also Mother Berniece would insist that we actually peal the shrimp before we eat them. I mentioned to Phil and Diana that I ran into Hans Kaufman at the Veterans Home;he is on the same wing as Kathryn"s father. Had a nice chat with Rhoda today. She had sent a nice photo of mother and daddy at mother Berniece's with her Christmas card. She says that all is well. Kelly is coming to Fayetteville to be with them for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAs I read this , I am thinking you can add mushrooms and can add green peppers to the pork chops... or at least think I did at some time in the past..
ReplyDeleteand garlic cloves... (The holy trinity is then present in the dish: celery, green peppers and garlic )
