Charlotte, NC

Went to Charlotte last week and it is a really pretty town. Ate lunch in an Irish Pub and it was my waitresses first day. She had just moved there from Hickory, N.C. to "better herself." We had a nice conversation about small towns, sewing, and wine glasses. Here are some pictures I took of Charlotte.

  1. I liked the second photo a lot. I have been to Hickory... I think Doc Watson lived in that area.

Wonder if we can ever create a map with pins in it to put up so show where we have been. Just an Idea.

I saw Social Network. I avoided the Facebook thing for years with some half-baked reasons. Now they are fully baked. No to Facebook.

  2. Nice photos, especially the light playing on the wall. Give us more impressions of Charlotte when you get a chance. Facebook verses relative aninimity..uhmmm. I do like Zuck giving away big dough on Oprah.

  3. I actually use Facebook, but I am not a rabid user. However, it does help me keep track of ex-students and keep in touch. And I find out stuff that is going on that I might miss otherwise. Like twitter. I hardly ever tweet because I don't have that much to share, but I like reading others and learn about stuff because I watch it. Jack uses facebook too, for pretty much the same reasons, but I don't check out his postings much. I see him at home and prefer that form of communication :-). Trevor uses mostly twitter and I don't understand what he is talking about half the time because I am too old to understand all that hip lingo :-).
