Back from Oregon

I am back from Oregon. We decided to make Jeff the poster kid for Oregon... modeled after National Forest Posters.

Middle is a waterfall in the forests around Mary's Peak near Corvallis.

Bottom is is the endless highway across Utah and Idaho. But this view was really cool.
I loved the drive and the trip.

I wound up drive 2400 miles. I camped in Idaho... very cool and went to the Pacific and other places. More later.

Diana un-retired

I called Diana this morning and found out she went back to work. Sort of. Kind of like Kelly goes back to work, I think, except more regular.

I at least got to see the gulf

Hi,
I went to Kingsville and Corpus Christi on Monday and Tuesday and sat on the beach for awhile. I didn't go swimming because I accidentally left my swim suit behind and I really didn't have much extra time, but it was good to see the waves and gulls and feel the salt mist. We should try a family beach vacation again sometime before we need walkers to jump the waves.

Joke - I think

A man walked into a very high-tech bar. As he sat down on a stool he noticed that the bartender was a robot. The robot clicked to attention and asked, "Sir, what will you have?"

The man thought a moment then replied "A martini please."

The robot clicked a couple of times and mixed the best martini the man had ever had.

The robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?" The man answered "Oh, about 174."

The robot then proceeded to discuss the theory of relativity, inter-stellar space travel, the latest medical breakthroughs, etc.

The man was most impressed. He left the bar but thought he would try a different tack. He returned and took a seat. Again the robot clicked and asked what would he have? "A martini please."

Again it was superb. The robot again asked "What is your IQ sir?"

This time the man answered, "Oh, about 120?. So the robot started discussing NASCAR racing, the latest basketball scores, and what to expect the Dodgers to do this week end.

The guy had to try it one more time. So he left, returned and took a stool.. Again a martini, and the question, "What is your IQ?" This time the man drawled out " Uh.. bout 50?. The robot clicked then leaned close and very slowly asked,

"A-r-e.
y-o-u-r.
p-e-o-p-l-e.
r-e-a-l-l-y
g-o-i-n-g.
t-o.
n-o-m-i-n-a-t-e..
R-i-c-k

P-e-r-r-y?"

Aspens and Denver

Stephanie and Phil visited and spent time west of Denver capturing the aspens in Colorado this week. Here are some shots form our visit and downtown Denver. Cool trip. We went to the the Denver Art Museum, ate some good food, had some good talk, and saw some great mountains..
