Had a nice visit from E,D&O... they are doing great. Otis walked all over the house exploring each room to see what adventures each offered. I am headed for Honduras early Saturday. By the way, the Gingerbread man did not have a happy ending to his story he was eaten by a trickster. Who would have guessed?

Villenalle for the Recomposing
Villenalle for the Recomposing
In homage, fermenting to start out new lives,
Shuffling books and records to meet final goals,
we toast to new paths with clear, open eyes.
No daily dressing to find a disguise,
we wake with the sun and strike a new pose
In homage, fermenting, to start out new lives.
The writings we do: objectives surmise
are the goals of dreams, our hopes, our souls,
we toast to new paths with clear, open eyes.
No trite rehearsing, new curtains arise,
our play is for real, these scenes final goals
In homage, fermenting, to start out new lives.
The Now --our moment, the Now--clear, blue skies
not rocker on porches, no final repose
we seek out new paths with clear, open eyes.
New suns arising, new hopes we devise
foundations for doings firm up new goals
In homage, fermenting, to start out new lives,
we toast to new paths with clear, open eyes.

All's quiet on the Western Front
Okay, so Phil is still the western front. No, I guess Jeff is, really, but he never posts here - tap, tap, tap.
Anyway, we are winding up our semesters and I am cleaning up files and getting ready to move to the new department at the first of June. Our garage doors get put on Thursday. We get to go see Weird Al Yankovic on Saturday. Busy time in central Texas.
What's up with the rest of you guys??
Diana retires soon and then she swears she will join the blog so we need to post really exciting things. Okay, maybe only mildly entertaining things. Well, just a little this and that.
How about a new poem about retirement, Phil?

Updates
.jpg)

Howdy all,
Well, our garage is almost done. The doors arrive tomorrow, but the contractor will not be able to put them on until next week. Our electrician will either be here today or tomorrow to finish hooking up the power (he is also a Constable so he has to do his day job part of the time), but as you can see, we are already getting use out of it.
On other news, Jack is on Amazon now. See http://chameleonbook.blogspot.com/ or
http://www.amazon.com/I-Ching-Chameleon-Freeman-Crouch/dp/0975964003/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273065383&sr=1-1
Today is his birthday, but he is not nearly as old as most of us. Still, 50 is a hard year to turn, I think. I happened to have liked it, but I guess some do not. Tomorrow is our anniversary and we are getting each other garage door openers. It is much more romantic than you might think.
Next headline - Diana swears she will get on the blog when she retires - only a few weeks away.
And lastly, I accepted a position in the College of Pharmacy and will be starting there on June 1. Same type of job, more money and different atmosphere. Stay tuned.
